Virginia Tucker teaches at the graduate School of Library & Information Science at San Jose State University and is the law librarian for Whatcom County in Bellingham. Previously she was manager of client training at Dialog/Thomson and a consultant for search engine interface design; she worked for several years as head librarian at the Physics Library at Stanford University. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of California at Berkeley, a BA from Stanford University, and a paralegal certificate. She is currently a PhD student in information science at Queensland University of Technology.

Marc Lampson was admitted to practice law in Washington in 1985. He has practiced in both state and federal courts, in both criminal and civil law, and on both the trial and appellate levels. He has taught legal research for over 20 years in a variety of contexts: to inmates at the Washington Corrections Center for Women for 11 years, to paralegal students at Edmonds and Highline Community College, to library and information science students at San Jose State University, to law students at the University of Washington, and to law students at Seattle University School of Law for 11 years. In addition to his law degree, he has a Masters in Library and Information Science, with a specialization in law librarianship, from the University of Washington and is a doctoral candidate in Information Science at the UW. He is currently the executive director of the Unemployment Law Project.
